| Thanks to the social development and transformation, people "of a unit" gradually become people "of the society". The community management are facing challenges resulted from downward social problems. Nevertheless, mass work and social work, the two instruments useful in solving social problems, play important roles in easing community management problems. However, traditional mass work cannot meet the needs of new requirements rising from social development and social work is facing the challenges of localization, due to the realities of China's perfecting socialist market economy system and improving grass-root democracy. Therefore, combination of the two will be a more effective approach to improving community management. Our studies will be helpful for the practices. |
