| As one of key pioneers and founders of China’s socialist economic construction, Chen Yun has made huge contribution in the economic reform and the construction and development of the People’s Republic of China. Chen Yun’s ideas on economic system reform have gradually formed and continuously developed in exploring the laws of socialist economic construction while adhering to the basic socialist system. He has always emphasized the principle of “combining macro-level control with micro-level flexibility” in the economic system reform. He upholds the idea of “proportional development” for the comprehensive balance of the national economy, advocating the value position of “improving the people’s lives as the ultimate goal for economic construction”. In the process of promoting Chinese path to modernization, Chen Yun’s thought on economic system reform is of great guiding value. We must deeply understand the connotation and essence of Chen Yun’s thought and inject ideological strength to deepen the reform and to promote the Chinese path to modernization in the new era. |
