| 淞沪抗战爆发后，因校舍遭到重创，短期内复校无望，同济大学不得不告别上海迁至浙江金华，又于1937年12月从浙江金华迁往江西吉安和赣州。其中，医学院驻吉安，直至1938年10月迁离。其间，同济大学和浙江大学等高校开展联合招生，同续中华文脉；和军医署第五重伤医院、中国红十字会第一重伤医院合作办学（医），实现军民融合；积极筹设实习医院，开办诊所服务地方，彰显非常时期自立自强之精神。吉安因此和同济大学产生深度交集，在同济大学内迁史乃至中华民族抗战史上刻下一道深深的“吉安”印迹。 |

| After the outbreak of the Battle of Shanghai, Tongji University’s campus was severely damaged,making it impossible to resume classes in the short term. As a result, the university had to leave Shanghai and relocate to Jinhua, Zhejiang Province. Then, in December 1937, it moved from Jinhua, Zhejiang to Ji’an and Ganzhou, Jiangxi Province, with its Medical School stationed in Ji’an until October 1938. During this period, Tongji University and Zhejiang University, along with other universities, carried out joint admission to continue their cultural continuity. It also cooperated in running the medical school with the 5th Severe Wound Hospital of the Military Medical Department and the 1st Severe Wound Hospital of the Red Cross of China, achieving military-civilian integration. In addition, It also actively prepared to establish a teaching hospital and set up clinics to serve the local community, demonstrating the spirit of self-reliance during challenging times. As a result, Ji’an became deeply intertwined with Tongji University, leaving a profound“Ji’an imprint” in the history of Tongji University’s inland relocation and even in the history of the Chinese nation’s resistance against Japanese aggression. |
