| “约”“略”都从“简要”义隐喻为“约量”表达词，再发展出“认识情态”的用法，属于不同时期的平行演变。受双音化影响，“约”“略”对应地产生了“大约”“大略”，需要注意的是，“大约”“大略”的成词途径并不同。此外，“大约”“大略”与其他约量词共现时，总是处于谓语之前，或者短句开头位置，为约量用法演变出认识情态用法提供了句法基础。这些发现有利于我们理解汉语中约量副词的形成和再次演变的条件。 |

| Both Yue(约) and Lüe(略) have evolved from the metaphor of"brief"to"approximate quantifiers",and then developed into the usage of expressing"epistemic modality",a parallel evolution occurring in different periods.Due to the influence of disyllabification,Yue(约) and Lüe(略) have given rise to da yue(大约) and da lüe(大略).The lexicalization process of da yue(大约) and da lüe(大略) are different,but both eventually lead to epistemic modal usage.In addition,the co-occurrence of da yue(大约) and da lüe(大略) with other approximate quantifiers always preposes the verb,or at the initial position of the sentence,which provides the syntactic basis for the evolution of cognitive modality from approximate quantifiers.These findings are helpful for us to understand the conditions for the formation and further evolution of the use of approximate quantity adverbs in Chinese. |
