| Mao Zedong’s thought on Party supervision, formed in a specific historical context and originated from Marxism-Leninism and traditional Chinese culture, constantly develops in practice. Its core essential include widely participatory democratic supervision, self-purifying inner-Party supervision and institutional supervision with a long-term mechanism. The inner logic is manifested in the value orientation of putting the people first, in the requirement for maintaining the Party’s advanced nature and purity, and on the path for promoting the Party’s self-improvement and development. In the new era, Mao Zedong’s thought on Party supervision has provided theoretical guidance for comprehensively and strictly governing the Party. It is of great time value for promoting the construction of a scientific and effective supervision system and enhancing the Party’s governance capacity and credibility. |
