| The CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core has attached great importance to united front work in the new era under the principle of keeping integrity and making innovation, taking problem-oriented approach and focusing on major theoretical and practical issues. It places great emphasis on role of the united front as a powerful tool for rallying people's hearts and pooling strengths based on an accurate grasp of historical positioning. It has also stressed the necessity of strengthening the Party's overall leadership in united front work. Meanwhile, the Central Committee strives to establish a unified leadership structure led by Party committee, with the united front department taking the lead in coordination and all relevant parties fulfilling their respective responsibilities. Furthermore, in regard to the issues of rallying people's hearts and pooling strengths, it stresses importance of focusing on non-Party intellectuals, representatives of new social strata, personnel from the non-public sector, and non-Party representatives. It has underscored the importance of grasping the laws governing united front work, with targeted efforts focusing on key areas such as democratic parties, the non-public sector, ethnic and religious affairs, as well as Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and overseas patriots. Additionally, it has emphasized the need to uphold, develop, and improve China's new-type party system and take multiple measures to advance the system construction of multi-party cooperation and political consultation under the leadership of the CPC. Moreover, the Party has emphasized the need to correctly handle the relationship between consistency and diversity, focusing on innovative working methods, improving work capabilities, and balancing four patterns of relationships. In accordance to the characteristics of new era, the Party strives to promote theoretical and practical innovation and achieve positive interactions between the two, attaining new breakthroughs in united front work. In particular, the CPC Centre Committee has achieved unprecedented breakthroughs and great leap forward in a series of major theoretical and practical issues, based on the inheritance and adherence of the traditional practice. |
