| In the end of 1950s, lots of American poets, repressed by the so-called orthodox poetics initiated by T. S. Eliot for a long time, attempted to make experiments and innovation in poem creation. Robert Bly, together with Jame Wright, Louise Simpson, and William Stafford, proposed that American poetry should turn to inner world, and created " deep image".Combined with the analysis of Surrealist poets’ poetics and practice in Spanish countries, the author discusses on how Surrealist poets in Spanish countries influenced the poetics of American Deep Image. |
