| 两宋时期，园林营建极多，邀请名家为未曾寓目的园林作文蔚然成风，应酬性园林记应运而生。应酬性园林记既要适应应酬的需要，又要兼顾园林的特点，还要符合记体文的规范，故而在距离限制与文体约束的共同作用下形成了较难创作的写作困境。为了应对应酬性园林记的写作困境，欧阳修在写作策略上进行了积极的调整，最终通过化虚为实与避实就虚两类策略顺利完成了创作。欧阳修着意在虚处作文章，其实是有其内在动因的，不拘于形的审美观念、文与道俱的创作追求、小文章系大时代的创作理念共同构成了欧阳修应酬性园林记写作策略运用的内在动因。 |

| During Song Dynasty, gardens were fairly popular so that inviting famous figures to create an essay on a garden(that the invited one would have never seen) became the trend. Therefore, the essay on gardens for social engagement came into being. It needs to meet the requirement of social engagement, reflect the features of the garden, and accord to the writing style of essays. The limitation of distance and style makes it difficult to create a good essay. To create this kind of essays well, Ouyang Xiu used the writing strategy of turning imagination into reality and use of indirect narration. This kind of writing strategy reflects Ouyang Xiu's aesthetic standard of being not limited by formality, and creative ideas of "writings that are for conveying truth and mirror of times". |
