| Stephen Hawking is a British theoretical physicist with a high international reputation. Besides, he is also a famous science writer and his five scientific essays contain thought-provoking ideas of philosophy of science, such as scientific spirit, scientific method, and consciousness of scientific sociology. These ideas not only contribute greatly to Hawking's remarkable achievements in science and to his worldwide reputation, but also enhance the depth and horizon of his scientific essays, making these works popular among readers. These ideas have significant implications for China's development of science and technology, construction of innovation-oriented society, and creation of science writing. |
