| This paper aims to explore the influencing mechanism of enterprise boundary spanning search to innovation performance. By collecting data from 252 trans-boundary innovation enterprises, we use the hierarchical regression method to test our hypotheses. We find that boundary spanning search has a positive impact on innovation performance, is conducive to the expansion of organizational knowledge reconstruction, and deepen organizational knowledge reconstruction. Organizational knowledge reconstruction plays a partial intermediary role between boundary spanning search and innovation performance, and organizational legitimacy plays a positive moderating role between boundary spanning search and organizational knowledge reconstruction expansion. The findings enriched the application of boundary spanning search theory in the process of trans-boundary innovation in enterprises. |
