| 1919年，中国在巴黎和会上谈判失败，一种激烈的民族意识迅速扩展到了整个知识分子群体，尤其是留美中国学生，他们虽然身处大洋彼岸，强烈的民族情绪却丝毫不减。在这一危急关头，留美学生通过演说宣讲、刊发评论或组建相关事务委员会并与其他社团相互合作等一系列方式，表达对这一事态的密切关注，在对日态度方面力争国家尊严，体现出了留学生对于国家的使命担当。可以说留美学生在爱国精神驱动下的价值选择以及一系列历史活动，均折射出了近代留美学生与国家命运的双重互动面向，闪烁着彼岸留学生们纯真的爱国理想之光。 |

| In 1919, China's failure in the negotiation at the Paris Peace Conference induced a fierce national consciousness to the entire intellectual community, especially Chinese oversea students in U.S.A. At this critical moment, students in U.S.A. showed their great concerns about the issue through various ways, including delivering speeches, publishing comments, organizing relevant committees and cooperating with other social associations, which demonstrated the students' national consciousness and responsibility. It can be concluded that the series of historical activities driven by the patriotic spirit of the oversea students in U.S.A. reflects the interaction between the students and the national destiny, representing the pure patriotic ideal of the students. |
