| From the final words of martyrs in the late Ming Dynasty, it is believed that Wen Tianxiang enjoyed high prestige in the Ming Dynasty. He set a spiritual example for the martyrs and encouraged them to make the highest choice of sacrificing their lives for justice. In addition, Wen Tianxiang exerted a strong demonstration effect on people from Jiangxi and Ji'an region. Taking Wen Tianxiang as a fellow countryman filled with glory and strong responsibility, people from Jiangxi and Ji'an region took pride in his conduct. In the final words of the martyrs, more historical details of Wen Tianxiang were exposed, including Wen Tianxiang's request to be a Taoist priest, his three-year stay in prison as a monk, etc. Wen Tianxiang's spirit and image in the late Ming Dynasty is far-reaching and of great significance. |
