| 新民学会作为五四时期长沙最重要的学生社会团体，虽然只存在三年多时间，但对中国革命的道路和方法进行了有益探索。它以蒙达尔纪会议为界分成两段：前期是一个学术团体，后期是一个革命团体。新民学会对于在湖南创建中国共产党的早期组织，在思想上、组织上、干部培养上做出了诸多贡献。 |

| As one of the most important student societies in Changsha during May Fourth Period, though Xinmin Society had lasted only more than three years, it has explored usefully the routes and methods of Chinese revolution. It could be divided into two stages by Montargis Conference, first as an academic body and later as a revolutionary group. The Xinmin Society has made huge contributions to the founding of CPC branch in Hunan in terms of thought construction, organization and cadres cultivation. |
