| Fang Muru, a famous poet and writer in Qing Dynasty, has gained distinctive reputation in the literary world. His biographical novels feature the thematic choices, such as praise of capable ministers, laud of literary writers or scholars, and eulogy of filial sons and loyal women. With distinctive artistic features in his biography, such as individualized language, minute and detailed description and historical biography style, Fang's biography occupies a vital position in the understanding of the writer's psychological state and generic style of the times. |
