朱熹的理气说是其祭祀观和鬼神观的理论基础。在理气关系中,朱熹持理能生气、物死气灭(理生气灭)的观点。这种理气观使朱熹认为人死之后没有任何东西可以留存作为鬼神或灵魂的材质,也就彻底否定了儒家人死为鬼的传统观念。儒家的祭祀以有鬼神的歆享和感格为基础,朱熹的鬼神观与儒家的正统观念产生了巨大的冲撞。对此朱熹用理生气的方式来加以解决,即合理的祭祀会由理生气来歆享和感格,不合理的祭祀则不会有气产生,故淫祀无福。如此,"理生气灭"说逻辑地统摄了理气观、鬼神观和祭祀观,但留下太多的含混和不可思议。 |

The relationship between Li (Reason) and Qi (Regulation) in Zhu Xi's philosophy acts as the theoretical foundation of his sacrifice-offering view and Ghost-and-God view,in which Zhu Xi holds the view that Reason could give birth to Regulation and when Reason dies,the Regulation will disappear.In Zhu Xi's view,the death of a human being leaves nothing to act as the material texture of ghost or soul,which denies the traditional Confucius' view that a human being could become a ghost after his death.Zhu Xi,who makes great challenges to the Confucius sacrifice-offering viewpoint,proposes that reasonable sacrifice-offering could make Reason give birth to Regulation,or vice versa.Therefore,Zhu Xi's view of the Birth of Reason and Death of Regulation plays a dominant role among his Ghost-and-God view and sacrifice-offering view,which leaves ambiguities to later generations. |
