| The Red Army established the purpose of army building——"the people's army for people" and put forward and observed the three rules of discipline and six points for attentionsince the Jinggangshan revolutionary period. The Red Army consciously safeguarded interests of the people, protected intermediate and small merchants when they struggled against Guomingdang in the south of Jiangxi province so that they won the trust of the people and were welcomed, supported by themand established a good civil-military relation that is inseparable as fish and water, which paved the way to win the revolutionary war. Attaching importance to the civil-military relations becomes the good tradition of the people's army. |
