| 关于马克思主义传入中国的具体时间，既有研究提出了多种说法，其中，1987年至今，主流说法是1898年。1898年说认为，英人克卡朴著、胡贻谷受广学会李提摩太委托译的《泰西民法志》出版于1898年，其中提到了马克思。但是，这一说法实际上证据不足，《泰西民法志》出版时间也不是1898年，而是1912年；且围绕这一说法，存在几处小错误。迄今为止发现的材料表明，马克思的名字最早出现于中国报刊和书籍是在1899年。 |

| There are various arguments about when Marxism was introduced into China. It has been generally believed since 1987 that it's 1898. It is said that the Chinese version of Kirkup's History of Socialism, which was translated by Hu Yigu, was firstly published in 1898. In this book, Marx was introduced. However, this argument lacked support, the book was firstly published not in 1898, but in 1912; meanwhile, there are several little mistakes with this argument. The evidence found so far indicates that it was in 1899 that Marx's name firstly appeared in the Chinese press. |
