| There was different understanding about the event that Yuan Wencai and Wang Zuo were wrongly killed from different perspectives. For example, those who were against Yuan Wencai and Wang Zuo took a clear-cut stand, kept on plotting for a long time, and had no regret. Those who sympathized with them criticized the progressive persons did the wrong thing in this event, and showed deep mercy to them. Those who were neutral believed that the CPC Special Committee of Jiangxi-Hunan Boundary Region should assume the main responsibility for it. Kuomintang and the counter-revolutionary landlords? were happy after hearing it. They caused alienation between the army and the local people in Jinggangshan on purpose when the event happened. Mao Zedong thought that Yuan Wencai and Wang Zuo had made important contribution to the founding of the Jinggangshan Revolutionary Base area, and were wrongly killed. |
