| Socialism with Chinese characteristics entering a new era, as it is stated in the 19th National Congress of the CPC, means three important facts. Firstly, the Chinese nation, which since modern times began had endured so much for so long, has achieved a tremendous transformation-it has stood up, grown rich, and become strong. Secondly, scientific socialism is full of vitality in 21st century China. Thirdly, the path, the theory, the system, and the culture of socialism with Chinese characteristics have kept developing, blazing a new trail for other developing countries to achieve modernization. The statement not only thoroughly elaborates the important connotations underneath "socialism with Chinese characteristics entering a new era", but also summarizes the contribution to China and the world made by socialism with Chinese characteristics since the country's adoption of opening and reform policy. Expounding the statement is theoretically and pragmatically significant for our profound exploration of the said connotations and contributions, and also important for our accurate understanding of the spirits of the 19th National Congress and Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. |
