| The writing, publication and visual adaptation of Wang Meng's Novel Long Live the Youth span across the "Seventeen Years in the Republic" and the "New Age". The distance between the two forms the work, as a novel and as a film, is characterized by consistency and the discrepancy. Adaptation of Long Live the Youth reflects ideological elements in different historical periods. It is a specimen in Chinese history of literature. |
