| The "Zhao Zhou Chan" (Zen of Zhaozhou Sect) practised by Yang Wanli is one of the most talked "topic" in Zong Gao's "Kan Hua Chan" (Zen based on understanding of classical talks), which is synonymous with Zhao Zhou Monk's "Gou Zi Wu Fo Xing" (A Dog has no Buddhist elements). Yang Wanli' practice of "Zhao Zhou Chan" is relevant to Zong Gao "Kan Hua Chan" in terms of personal communication and spiritual empathy. His "flexible way", in consistence with Zong Gao's thoughts, makes a deduction of the "Kan Hua Chan" to ideas of "penetration", "going beyond words and meaning" and "coincidence instead of intention". |
