| 价值-信念-规范理论是公众环保行为研究的重要理论，该理论认为价值取向、新环境范式、结果意识、责任归属和个体规范五个变量构成密不可分的因果链；在该因果链模式下，公众环保行为由个体规范所激活，个体规范由个体对没有执行目标行为而给他人造成不良后果的意识（即结果意识）和个体对没有实施目标行为而造成不良后果所产生的责任感（即责任归属）所激发，结果意识和责任归属本身则受到个体的价值取向和环境关心影响。价值-信念-规范理论在国外已经被广泛的运用于能源节约、绿色出行等环保行为的研究，并被证实具有良好的预测力。该理论是规范激活理论在环保行为研究中的拓展，在公众环保行为研究方面比规范激活理论具有更强的解释力。 |

| The Value-Belief-Norm Theory is an important instrument for studies of public environment-protection behaviors. According to the theory, five variants form an inseparable causal chain, namely, value orientation, new environmental paradigm, awareness of consequence, ascription of responsibility and personal norms. In the causal chain mode, public environment-protection behaviors are activated by individual norms, which are in turn stimulated by the individual's awareness of the bad effects toward others, resulted from his failure to execute certain target actions (i.e, awareness of consequence), and by the individuals sense of responsibility, resulted from the bad effect due to his failure to carry out the actions (i.e., ascription of responsibility). And the awareness of consequence and ascription of responsibility are influenced by individuals' value orientation and environmental concerns. The value-belief-norm theory has been widely applied and proved for good predictability in studies of such environment-protections behaviors as energy-saving and green travel. The theory is extension of Norm Activation Model in environment-protection behavior studies, and it is more convincing in public environment-protection behavior studies. |
