| Ouyang Xiu had strong affections to Luling, and he even wrote his name as "Ouyang Xiu from Luling" on several of his famous works. This was result from his high recognition of the Ouyang family in Luling prefecture, his deep homesickness of Luling, and his cherishing of his own artistic creations. For nearly a thousand years, Ouyang Xiu was regarded as a person from Yongfeng County. But the truth is that he was born in a great family of Luling prefecture derived from Yongfeng County, and Mianyang was also his hometown. Ouyang Xiu belongs not only to Luling, Mianyang and Chuzhou, but also to the Chinese nation as a whole. He contributed precious cultural treasures for our country and nation. |
