| “荷马史诗”对英雄“德性”的表达反映出古希腊人最早的“德性”观念。这个原初性的德性观念构成了整个古希腊德性思想的真正源头, 对其后来的发展演变起着决定性的作用。因此, 深入理解、把握史诗中所表达出来的英雄德性观念自然是一个非常重要的课题。但是, 目前学界对这一课题并没有形成比较一致的见解, 对英雄的“德性”存在着“泛道德化”或“非道德”乃至“反道德”等截然不同路向的理解。这些分歧从根本上说, 主要是由于我们脱离了史诗的语境, 运用今人的观念去看待古人。其实, 英雄德性作为对其被先天赋予的生命之荣耀和使命的现实完成, 同今天主要基于现实的公共生活来谈论的经验性的道德有着本质的差异, 必须要从宇宙论、存在论的角度予以把握。 |

| The expression of hero's "virtue" in Homeric Epics reflects the earliest concept of "virtue" among the ancient Greeks. This primary concept not only formed genuine origin of the whole system of ancient Greek thoughts of virtue, but also played a decisive role in the evolution of the thoughts. Even so, there have yet been generally agreed understanding of this issue. There are different understandings of hero's "virtue" like "pan-moralization", "non-morality" or "anti-morality". Those disagreements are result from the scrutiny of ancient people out of the Epic context. In fact, the hero's virtue, as their innately given life glory and actual realization of mission, is fundamentally different from the empiricist morality discussed today on basis of actual public life. It should be understood in perspective of cosmology and ontology. |
