| During his retreat in Jiangxi in early 1970s, Deng Xiaoping made profound reflections on socialist construction, which touched the fundamental questions like "what is socialism" and "how China should build socialism". Those reflections made theoretical preparations for his later measures of "rectification" and reform and opening. They form a logical start for Deng Xiaoping Theory. At mean time, Deng's reflection in adversity demonstrates his noble characters and moralities, which provide powers and treasures for us to insist and further promote Socialism with Chinese Characteristics. |
