| Investigation of local chronicles and documentaries reveals the Harvest Uprising troops' activities before the Uprising. On days around August 14th of 1927 the peasant troop of Liuyang arrived at Tonggu County. The Guard Regiment went by Gao'an and arrived at Xiushui on August 19th, where they met the peasant troop of Pingjiang and combined them in one regiment. In the late August the regiment incorporated Qiu Guoxuan's troop, and on September 5th they incorporated the peasant troop of Tongchong led by Luo Ronghuan. |
