| Ouyang Xiu＇s honor of Tao Yuanming and of Tao＇s poems is much related to his political setback and his consequent reflections of his political intentions. Through his meditation and acceptance of Tao＇s thoughts, Ouyang Xiu shifted himself from ambition to peace and imperturbability. Such as shift not only helped him set a balance point of court service and retirement, but also led him to the awareness for combining aims of politics and people＇s welfares. |
