| 欧阳修一生对佛、道二教并非一视同仁,他早年即有远佛亲道的倾向,晚年亲道态度更加明显,这从他的诗文与言行中可以发现。欧阳修一直没有解决"神仙有无"这一令他困惑终生的道教问题,却因始终相信"有道",而且越来越认识到道教求仙的生活胜过名教求富贵功名的生活,以至于晚年出儒入道。 |

| During his life, Ouyang Xiu showed different preferences of Buddhism and Taoism. In his early years, he preferred Buddhism, while in his late years he liked Taoism better, as shown in his literary works and behaviors. He never found a satisfactory answer to the question as whether Immortals exist or not, a question having puzzled him all his life. However, he held the belief of Immortals existence and got increasing awareness of the superiority of Taoist lifestyle over Confucian lifestyle. That＇s why he shifted his life form Confucian to Taoist style in his late years. |
